1. Preparation

  • Unpack and inspect both NMRV units.

  • Ensure both worm gearboxes are the correct size and reduction ratio for your application.

  • Verify the input type (shaft or flange) and output shaft configuration.

2. Mounting Configuration

  • Determine desired mounting orientation: horizontal (B3), vertical (V5/V6), or flange (B5).

  • Mount gearbox on a clean, flat, and vibration-free surface.

  • Use high-tensile mounting bolts (grade 8.8 or above) and torque to specifications.

  • Avoid mounting the gearbox near heat sources or in enclosed, non-ventilated areas.

3. Input Motor Connection

  • If using a flange motor, ensure alignment between the motor shaft and the gearbox bore.

  • Secure the motor using the proper mounting bolts and anti-loosening washers.

4. Output Shaft Setup

  • Gradually start the drive to monitor noise and vibration.
