Installation and Usage Guidelines
Installation Precautions: Ensure that the gearbox is installed on a flat, sturdy base. The mounting bolts should be tightened to prevent vibrations. All connecting shafts (motor, gearbox, and driven machine) must be accurately aligned post-installation. Check that the outer diameter of the input and output shafts meets the h6 tolerance to ensure compatibility with couplings and other components. Avoid excessive tightness to prevent bearing damage or excessive looseness that may affect power transmission. When installing the motor on WPD type gearboxes, apply grease to the worm head's inner hole to prevent rust.
Usage Precautions: Before operation, check the gearbox type, center distance specifications, gear ratio, input/output shaft alignment, and rotation direction. Ensure the correct type of lubricant is injected as per the manual. After filling, tighten the vent cap and remove the small plug for proper operation. Use the specified lubricant type, maintain appropriate oil levels, and replace oil every 2500 hours, with a critical first change after 100 hours. In case of abnormal operation, stop immediately for inspection as per the troubleshooting guide. The maximum allowable oil temperature is 95°C; as long as the temperature does not rise further, the gearbox can be safely operated.
Lubricant Selection and Usage
For optimal performance, the worm gear reducer should be filled with N220 to N320 oil for temperatures between -30°C and 40°C or N320 to N460 for 40°C to 65°C. Ensure the oil level is at the center mark on the oil sight. Replace the oil after the first 100 hours of operation with new oil, and subsequently every 2500 hours. Use the following table to select the appropriate lubricant:
